New York Theatre – Review of L'Amour Fou

Based on Jacques Rivette’s 1969 film of the same name, L’Amour Fou is the first part of a trilogy that Dangerous Ground will be presenting of Rivette’s work at The Brick Theater this year. A series of experimental multimedia theatre, L’Amour Fou kicks it off with a wild 3 hour ride set during the rehearsal process of one theatre company’s production of Racine’s Andromaque, where reality and the stage intersect, and sometimes you’re not sure whether you’re watching performances from the play or from the actors own messy personal lives.
