... But the Next Morning

... But the Next Morning

a multimedia site-specific art installation inspired by Jacques Rivette’s 1974 film Céline and Julie Go Boating.

July-August 2012, Scapegrace, Bushwick, New York

"L'imagination au pouvoir".

What if it did happen. If imagination took control. Who, what, when, where…We are performers in the theatre of life, we are creators, inventors. Storytellers. We play and the play becomes real, we dreamed all this and it is happening. We find each other in the dream and we meet in life and together we make. We break away, free… through the fourth wall and we see. We do it together. We go boating and the story starts again and we know it… But the next morning, we wake up and we do not remember.
Action…
It's Too Late

It's Too Late

It’s Too Late is a multimedia site-specific art installation dedicated to Jean Eustache’s 1973 film The Mother and The Whore.
Raw and unsentimental, the quest for love reveals the collapse of human ideals as characters face irresolution and a sense of profound desolation. Alexander, Marie and Veronika are caught in meaningless rituals that long for true intimacy. The need for human connection permeates the world and hyperreality shows what is at play: in the underlying emptiness, the struggle to come to terms with profound change, cultural alienation and devastating pain.

From Dawn till Night

From Dawn till Night

From Dawn till Night is a multimedia investigation of Rainer Werner Fassbinder's 1978 film In a Year with 13 Moons.
If there is anything, it’s movement. Emotion and collapse. We are a part of it, in the middle of it, the moon and the sun blinding us.
Suddenly that wasn’t a part of the plan. We can no longer say... I am.

John Cassavetes' Husbands

John Cassavetes' Husbands

Based on John Cassavetes' 1970s film, Husbands depicts three men shaken up by the death of their friend and by their own imminent approach into middle age. They enter a freefall into emptiness and unrest in a four-day bender that follows the funeral. Anarchic and raw, the production is a surprisingly intimate exploration of the mysteries of friendship and masculinity.

3! was awarded the prize for best production of the undergroundzero festival 2009

3! is a multimedia experiment inspired by Rainer Werner Fassbinder’s 1979 film The Third Generation. Radical politics, carnival, cops, philosophy, television, guns and terrorists… The performance features criss-crossing cameras, televisions, live feed video, a dj and an ensemble cast of 14 actors. Hybrid forms of performance collide and subvert reality in an attempt to interrogate violence, freedom and civil rights, dramatizing a disturbing world of sexual mayhem, chemical distortions, political manipulations and the exaltation and burden of discovering one’s inability to fit into the system.
